Traci Miner Appointed VP of Waiver Services

Mainstream Living has announced that Traci Miner has been appointed Vice President of Waiver Services.  Miner has worked for the organization since 1994 and currently serves as Program Coordinator for Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). She will succeed Kris Eastman who will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer for the organization.  

“Traci is a servant leader who excels at collaborating with others to find creative solutions to the many challenges in our industry.''  said Mainstream Living President/CEO Bill Vaughn. “We are fortunate to have someone with her leadership qualities and commitment to compassionate care in this very important role.”

Miner started her career with Mainstream Living with an internship while studying at University of Northern Iowa.  After completion of her degree in social work, she worked in direct care, eventually moving to site supervision and program coordination roles.  In her role as a Program Coordinator, Miner assists in leading the day to day operation of HCBS programs, working  directly with staff, persons with disabilities, and their advocates to provide community housing options and supportive services that fulfill Mainstream Living’s mission to enhance opportunities, create success, and fulfill dreams.   

As Vice President of Waiver Services, Miner will be responsible for oversight of Mainstream Living’s multi-county residential services and day programming for adults with intellectual disabilities and brain injuries.  “I have always been proud to say I work for Mainstream Living and am grateful for opportunities that have allowed me to positively impact the lives of many individuals and families.  I’m excited to work more closely with the Executive Management Team in thinking strategically about how we provide the best services in an ever-changing environment,” said Miner.  

Mainstream Living is a nonprofit disability and mental health provider with services in Polk, Story, Boone, and Dallas counties.  The organization employs a staff of nearly 500 and provides supportive services to over 500 individuals and families.
